And the wagon rolls on...
Hello Technology.

It is approximately ten minutes past eleven at night, and rather than my usual Friday night exploits I find myself at home alone discovering what on earth a "LiveJournal" is. My neanderthal brain is finding this whole experience a little stressful, so you will have to forgive if I have made some lj faux pas already.

Frankly, I don't really care. It's in my nature to be a faux pas. Or perhaps just use that word liberally. I am not sure.

Hmm, as a first post, this entry does seem particularly dour. Then that is perfect, as it duplicates reality succinctly. I am terribly sorry if the language does seem a little florid, but yet again, it is in my nature to say a lot of words when only one is required. Allow me to translate:

My life is about as exciting as watching grass grow.

Although some botanists may find particular joy in watching grass grow, let us just imagine that it is particularly boring grass. Especially to botanists. Cows may find the grass interesting, but then again, cows are boring and stupid.

Which brings me to my most beloved of subjects. Stupidity. I am of an idea that the world is actually a stupid factory for the rest of the universe - it would explain a lot. Parallel parking. Gambling machines with credit card access. Politicians. The list goes on.

And will go on, particularly in this journal. So welcome to the Stupid Factory. I hope your stay is well and by the way, do check out our highly exciting grass-growing attraction. Recommended by botanists and cows worldwide.

Welcome to LJ, Liath. I'm a bit of a newbie here myself :)

My wife is a botanist. Maybe she will be interested in your journal? :)

And, I'm guessing that we are the product of the Stupid Factory? If so, what raw materials are needed? And who runs and maintains this Stupid Factory? I'm definitely not disagreeing with you, just hoping you might have answers to questions I've been asking myself for years.

Ahh ashr, as I am only on perhaps the third of the seven tiers of stupidity, I am unable to answer your questions at this time. However, give me a few years to become a little bit more stupid and I'll fill you in!

Currently I only oversee Stupidity Sector 12A - Frenzied People Looking For Sunglasses Which They Are Already Wearing. We are looking for more people, however - care to join? :) Bring that pretty little botanist of yours. Although you both sound too smart to truly be of any use, I'm sure we'll find a place for you!

Sharon... we are kindred souls! Except for the fact that your new to this sort of thing and I'm a net geek ^^ I hate grass, it gives me a rash =p but I like you already. You seem very interesting. Do you just like fantasy etc, or do you write, like most visitors to the PZ?

Hail Kindred!

I would consider myself a reader more than a writer. If anything I write screenplays, as I find they are a lot easier to commit to than a novel. So I tip my hat off to all novelists, aspiring and published, as they certainly have more willpower than myself.

Unfortunately I'm more of a resident of the PZ rather than a visitor. I may not post frequently, but I am always lurking lurking, waiting for the unsuspecting young fantasy reader to acclaim how much they love David Eddings, or use that godforsaken sms-speak. I'll apologise if you like David Eddings - I tend to avoid his books more than I do that evil grass!

So, Final Fantasy hey? Whilst I'm a Nintendo girl at my heart I recently bought a PS2 and I've been playing one Final Fantasy game which is giving me a hard time - I can't remember the number, I think X? It is evil! So perhaps I've a little geek in me after all..kindred indeed! :)

I finally realised I had missed your first post, so I looked for it specially (see, you can't escape) purely so I could say "Welcome to LJland".
